Summary

Motivated student with formal knowledge gained through excellent performance in pure mathematics units offered in The University of Sydney. Familiar with group, ring, field theory, theories in commutative algebras, and the representation theory of finite groups and algebras. The interested area includes the representation theory of the symmetric groups, the graded representation theory of the KLR algebra, algebraic geometry and topics in homology.

  • This research is a partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Study (Honours).
  • This research is a survey on the representation theory of the symmetric groups. In particular, my work was on reviewing the graded decomposition number of the cyclotomic KLR algebra of affine type A.
  • Theories that are covered in this research includes the representation theory of graded cellular algebras, graded branching rules, and canonical basis theory, among others.
