Asia Pacific Head of Technology, reporting directly into the Asia Pacific CEO. Responsible for Systems, Security, Trading Operations, Networking and Software Development across Asia Pacific. Partnering with heads of trading, working directly with C-Level executives to formulate and deliver key business drivers across the region and globally in a startup-style culture. As a member of the Operating Committee and Executive Committee , I am responsible for a wide range of technology strategies and delivery, driving and influencing global strategies while still maintaining a very hands-on role.

• Led the integration with a dark pool, based in Japan, delivering a client-facing connectivity layer built using C++ and Python

A technical hands-on Global head of derivatives technology, partnering with global heads of sales, trading and COO , focusing on the distribution of Structured Products to Private Banks and other partners through both standardised and bespoke solutions . Amongst the solutions provided are web applications (of varying complexity according to the sophistication of the client), Open API solutions and other distribution / connectivity media.

Further, I am responsible for the technical direction of FX derivative products across Asia-Pacific, partnering with multiple external vendors as well as working directly with and influencing the technical strategies of our partners in other investment banks.

• Leaf a team of 20 developers for the global build of a client-facing structured product platform for pricing, execution and lifecycle management of structured products, using cloud-based microservices written in Java to provide multi-channel integration (FIX, RESTful API, web application).
• Lead the build of a client-facing FX Derivatives platform using microservices written in Java with a JavaScript front end.
• Lead the support and ongoing maintenance of a legacy derivatives platform, including ongoing feature requests while continuing to build out a replacement platform.

Partnering with sales and trading as the Global lead for Equity Structured Products sales technology, focusing on client-facing automated pricing and execution services and online client-focused platforms across various engagement channels, such as web and direct FIX connectivity. Leading a team of ~50 developers and Business Analysts across various global locations.

As an industry leader , I have worked closely in partnership with our key clients and have been responsible for technology leadership across multi-issuer projects . Such multi-issuer collaboration requires excellent relationship management as well as a high-level of understanding and implementation of cross-organisational governance , working with technology, business and legal departments across key partners, under NDA. Furthermore, I have been heavily involved with universities in direct recruitment and student projects in subjects such as AI/ML and others.

• Led the development of a greenfield platform to provide pricing, execution and lifecycle management of complex derivatives and Structured Products facing the Japanese market . Built using a cloud-based microservice architecture with multiple client-facing interfaces, the platform was built to enable integration across multiple types of client. The platform provides connectivity through FIX, RESTful API and Web User Interfaces to provide a seamless user experience for clients at varying levels of sophistication
• Following on from the Japanese derivatives platform MVP, the platform was extending across multiple products and multiple locations globally to provide seamless connectivity, pricing, execution and lifecycle management to multiple clients through each of FIX, RESTful API and web interfaces. Again, as a hands-on leader, I acted as the key technical resource across the global stack, providing leadership and in-depth knowledge at a global level, working closely with technology and business teams across Hong Kong, London and New York
• Led a key project to provide our core derivatives platform with the ability to execute delta hedging, based on the pricing of the derivative. This involved integration with cash-trading platforms using industry-standard FIX protocols written in Java and C++ to allow execution of hedges in the market
• Led the build of a client-facing project to provide our external clients with the ability to price and execute futures on the Thai market. This involved working closely with the Thai business and its external clients. Built using Java and JavaScript.
• Led the technology stream of a joint venture between J.P.Morgan and five other banks, Contineo was designed as a multi-issuer platform, providing pricing, execution and lifecycle management capabilities across multiple product issuers to key clients in Private Banks. The platform provides multiple connectivity interfaces, namely FIX, RESTful APIs and web interfaces to allow integration with clients at multiple levels of sophistication. I acted as the core Technology representative of J.P.Morgan during the initiation of this new joint venture company during which time, I was responsible for the selection of technology partners and ongoing design and implementation of the software platform in partnership with our selected partners. I had to work closely across all aspects of the business beyond Technology, such as Legal, Marketing and Business. As such, for the first 9 months of this company, I was working effectively as the CTO, providing technical direction and partnership across multiple banks and clients to provide and define the direction of the company, as an expert in the field from both technical and underlying business requirements.

Asia lead for pre-trade technology for the Asia-Pacific flow trading business, focusing on solutions for volatility management, automated volatility fitting and marking. Working closely as a partner with regional heads of desk at the MD level to deliver key market-relevant solutions across multiple businesses.

Asia Lead developer and owner of the build out of key Middle Office platform to automate the post-trade processing of Structured Products, including automated events management and notifications.
