Wai Shan Chung

Winnie Chung, a highly skilled and over 10 years experienced professional violin tutor based in Hong Kong. She received the Bachelor of Arts(Hon) in Music at the Hong Kong Baptist University. Under the tutelage of violinist Mr. Anders Hui.

At the university, Winnie played as a tutti violinist at Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra and Assistant Concertmaster at Baptist University Stings Ensemble. Also she has been the Violin Soloist for Women’s Chorus and participate in many chamber groups.

Winnie has worked with many orchestras and has great experience in performance in Hong Kong and overseas. Including Hong Kong Festival Orchestra, Hong Kong City University Symphony Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Orchestra, VTC Symphony Orchestra. Besides, Winnie has have Violin Masterclass with Mr. Gian Paolo Peloso and has worked with Musicus Society and being guest violin tutti with Tapiola Sinfonietta.

Winnie is known for her ability to identify and correct technical flaws, improve tone color, and enhance posture. She is patient and enjoys teaching children, working with them to develop their skills and passion for music.
