Work History

Marketing and Communication Director

Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited
01.2025 - Current
  • As Marketing and Communication Director in a major media organization, my role was both diversified and dynamic. Beyond overseeing campaigns, I engaged in creative collaborations across industries—partnering with brands, sponsors, and cultural institutions to design innovative promotional strategies.
  • Metro Broadcast (新城廣播有限公司) is one of Hong Kong’s three major radio broadcasting corporations, founded in 1991 and owned by CK Hutchison Holdings. It operates multiple FM and AM channels and has expanded into multimedia platforms like MBO TV and online news platform.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Program marketing: I was tasked with compiling, planning, and executing promotional campaigns for a wide range of radio programs. These initiatives required not only creativity and strategic vision but also careful resource allocation, since effective promotion demands investment.
  • Sales: To balance promotional needs with financial sustainability, I also took on a sales leadership role. This involved presenting and designing customized radio and online programs for both the company and its clients, ensuring that each campaign delivered value to sponsors while enhancing the visibility of our broadcasts.
  • Program producer: I took the lead in creating and managing a variety of radio and online programs, including the acclaimed 「命運解惑師」 and the distinctive lifestyle program 「品味新城」, which explored Hong Kong’s world of luxury and extravagance. My role extended beyond production oversight—I actively monitored and advised on the content of each episode, ensuring that the program flow remained engaging and coherent. I collaborated closely with hosts and research teams, providing guidance and feedback to align topics with public interest and maximize audience awareness. This hands-on involvement allowed me to shape programs that were not only entertaining but also culturally relevant, reinforcing the station’s reputation for quality and resonance in a competitive media landscape.

Project Director

Integrated Education Limited
03.2024 - 10.2024
  • By serving both students and educators, Integrated Education fosters a holistic learning environment that cultivates creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong passion for learning.
  • Integrated Education (IE) is a newly established education company in Hong Kong dedicated to enriching the local learning landscape. The company designs and delivers a diverse portfolio of artistic and non-academic courses tailored for primary and secondary schools. These programs encourage creativity, self-expression, and practical skill development—broadening horizons beyond the traditional academic curriculum. Alongside student-focused initiatives, IE also provides professional development training for educators, equipping teachers with innovative techniques, enhanced pedagogical skills, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Course Design: To compile all the potential suitable courses for local schools, we closely liaise with various lecturers and tutors, brainstorming ideas to make the courses engaging and interactive. We develop the course outlines and present them in a way that’s easy for schools to digest and embrace. This journey is essentially a marketing job, but with a specific target audience—school principals.
  • Sales: Engaging with different schools is a genuine challenge. Each school has its own annual routine, meticulously planned a year or more in advance, which ensures smooth operations. My role was to break through these well-established schedules and secure prompt, stable agreements. Moreover, many local schools have already advanced in offering diverse courses such as ice hockey, horseback riding, and robotics with programming. To meet their standards, we had to tailor the depth of our courses to align with these offerings and provide high-quality, new skills training. This involved creating course content that was not only relevant but also competitive, ensuring it could stand out amidst the already advanced curriculum provided by these schools.

General Manager

A.I. Commerce LTD.
12.2023 - 03.2024
  • As General Manager, I oversee all departments, ensuring each team achieves its development milestones while upholding our commitment to innovation and excellence. Through strategic planning, effective leadership, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement, I strive to propel AI Commerce to new heights in the competitive IT industry.
  • AI Commerce, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a pioneering IT company celebrated for its innovative approach to software development. The firm specializes in white-label solutions and has created its own cutting-edge AI-driven ERP system. This unique platform seamlessly integrates advanced AI computing with the established logic and workflows of traditional ERP systems, delivering unmatched efficiency and intelligence.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Company setup: Founded in June 2023, our company is still in its early stages and currently lacks many facilities. The core team consists of three key members: a Malaysian CEO with a background in IT sales and marketing, an American technician with extensive experience leading AI development projects across North American firms, and myself.
  • Development: We hold intellectual property for several technical advancements, with the primary goal of integrating these innovations into new products. To achieve this, we are focusing on building a strong technical IT team, a dynamic marketing team, and the essential departments necessary for a thriving company.
  • HR: Hiring in Malaysia presents unique challenges compared to Hong Kong, as the targets, goals, and lifestyles differ significantly. Through this experience, I have developed techniques to collaborate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, thereby maximizing the company’s productivity. This journey has given me some unforgettable experiences in a foreign setting.

Senior Vice-President

Kids Logic Company Limited
11.2016 - 10.2023
  • As Senior Vice-President, I oversee the full spectrum of operations—from manufacturing to marketing—ensuring efficiency, creativity, and brand alignment at every stage. Immersing myself in the intricacies of toy production has been an immensely rewarding journey, blending business leadership with the joy of bringing beloved characters to life.
  • After becoming part of a sizeable listed company, Kids Logic Company Limited has solidified its position as the second-largest local designer and licensed toy manufacturer in Hong Kong, with an annual turnover exceeding HKD 45 million. The company collaborates with world-renowned licensors such as Hasbro (Transformers), Disney (Star Wars, Iron Man, Avengers), Doraemon, and other iconic Japanese characters.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Company Operations: One of my key goals was to revamp and enhance workflows across multiple departments, including production, accounting, sales and marketing, and customer service. By fostering communication, understanding, and open discussions, I clarified job duties and streamlined processes. No employees were laid off, yet overall efficiency improved significantly.
  • Business Development: In response to shifting local market trends and the growing difficulty of selling mid-priced products, we introduced a new luxury toy line priced between USD 799 and USD 2,000, with limited editions ranging from 200 to 800 pieces worldwide. Targeting the premium market proved highly successful, as most limited items sold within three months, delivering a substantial boost to company profits.
  • Marketing: Kids Logic was globally recognized as a toy brand primarily within the low- to middle-class market. To align with the new company direction, I elevated our corporate image by emphasizing product quality, the exclusivity of limited editions, and strategic pricing. Partnering with top distributors — Side Show (North America), Otaku Mode (Japan), and Model Arts (Asia) — we successfully positioned the brand in the high-end market. As a result, various sales channels sought to become domestic distributors, with our products transitioning from toys into valuable collectibles.

General Manager

Soap Studio Company Limited
11.2014 - 10.2016
  • Soap Studio is an inventive toy design and development studio, with the majority of its products licensed from global licensors such as Warner Bros., Hasbro, and Universal Studios. I managed the company's operations, public relations, and marketing. My time at Soap Studio has provided me with invaluable experience in negotiating license agreements with top-tier companies and insight into the high-tech toy industry.

  • Accountabilities:
  • Business Development: The company produces a diverse range of toys, including mobile interactive toys, vintage toys, and licensed toys. My first task was to build a marketing team consisting of two graphic designers and two public relations and marketing managers. We successfully launched the company's flagship product, the Mobile Interactive Batman Mobile. Balancing the demands of licensors like Warner Bros and Hasbro with the unique features of our products honed my negotiation skills with some of the world's largest corporations. This experience also proved invaluable in delivering Hong Kong products to the global market. The toy, priced at USD 1,299.00, sold 3,000 units worldwide.
  • Marketing: Breaking into the high-tech toy market in Hong Kong wasn't too difficult given my familiarity with local media and entertainment. Generating buzz was easy, but promoting an internationally licensed product required a global approach. Exhibitions were key. I planned and organized numerous Asian shows, including Shanghai Comic Con, Beijing Comic Con, Hong Kong International Toy Fair, Korea Toy Soul, and New York Toy Fair. My goal was always to make the crowd gasp—and we nailed it every time.

Business & Marketing Director

Mtel Limited
01.2013 - 11.2014
  • Mtel, a publicly listed mobile app development company, is recognized as one of the top three in Hong Kong. Its core operations span three main sectors: projects, products, and games. In my role, I oversee the marketing and business growth across all three areas, ensuring each reaches its full potential. I greatly value the opportunity to learn about new technologies, explore innovative marketing strategies, and collaborate with more than 100 technical professionals. This dynamic environment keeps me fully engaged and fuels my passion for leveraging cutting-edge advancements to drive the company forward.

This dynamic environment keeps me fully engaged and fuels my passion for leveraging cutting-edge advancements to drive the company forward.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Business Development: The company’s major offerings include the Movie Express app, the Soccer Express app, and the WhatsCap app. My primary objective was to monetize these platforms effectively. I initially took charge of Soccer Express, successfully attracting sponsors and generating advertising revenue to support the platform’s growth and marketing efforts. I also collaborated closely with digital agencies to explore new revenue-generating opportunities. With Movie Express, I launched a ground-breaking partnership with local theatres, integrating big data analysis, location-based promotions, and behaviour monitoring into our business model. Our sales targets focused on the finance and retail sectors, leveraging these innovative strategies to drive revenue and expand market presence.
  • Marketing: To effectively advertise our products, we first needed to establish their brand orientation. After three years of limited industry attention for our mobile platform, Movie Express, I initiated collaborations with major annual film festivals such as the Hong Kong International Film Festival and STAR TVs 20th anniversary celebrations. These efforts helped Movie Express build a professional reputation in the film industry. I then coordinated movie marketing across various sectors to generate traction for the platform. While working on Movie Express, I also undertook the redesign of our football platform. Advertising a digital platform can be risky using traditional methods, yet the impact of digital promotions has fuelled my passion for IT marketing. Employing CPM and CPC models, alongside a mix of social platforms, print ads, TV commercials, and events, provided me with a fantastic learning experience.

Business Development Director

Digital Broadcasting Corporation HK Limited (DBC)
07.2011 - 11.2012
  • As Business Development Director, I directed a team of ten talented professionals—including graphic designers, web designers, and public relations specialists—working together to elevate the station’s visibility and audience reach. Through creative campaigns and strategic positioning, we ensured DBC Radio’s programming resonated with a wide audience and maintained a strong presence in Hong Kong’s competitive broadcasting landscape.
  • DBC Radio, was one of the leading broadcasting companies in Hong Kong, operated seven distinct digital channels during its active years. Each channel delivered high-quality AAC audio, offering a diverse mix of news, talk shows, music, and entertainment.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Marketing Communications: Although I had significant interactions with local and Chinese media during my time at the record company, working directly within a media organization was a first for me. This new role was both immensely enjoyable and full of challenges. My key performance indicators were clear-cut — I had to ensure sufficient exposure for our major programs. For instance, we had a controversial radio show airing every morning from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., which exposed many injustices in society. My task was to ensure the program was highlighted daily, in the right context, and through the right media channels.
  • Business Development: I was responsible for generating new business for the department, which included securing commercial product placements, organizing promotional programs, and coordinating collaborative campaigns with different radio shows.
  • Product Sales: We aimed to maximize the sales of radio spots and airtime, as well as AAC radio services in the market. Balancing these responsibilities gave me invaluable experience and proved to be a highly rewarding endeavour.
