• Eliminate the service disruption time and period through professional experience.
• Target performance under incident/accident and emergency were achieved.
• To monitor the coordination and arrangement of Possessions and PA works; to ensure train paths for the engineer's train arrive pick up place as schedule so that the night possession works could commence as earlier as possible.
• To maximize the overnight maintenance window with coordination of Depot Yardmaster, DEIC, IECC & Train Crew on "track clearance" at the early morning for the purpose of ensure trouble free before start of traffic.
• To arrange and monitor all OCC staffs are suitably trained and coached so that high performance on operation and safety could be achieved and maintained.
• Co-ordinate and discuss with Project Team and provide comments and feedbacks to respective documents. Monitor works involved to be carried out according to the agreed document.
• Provide comments and feedbacks to rules and manuals revision and develop local procedure to maximize operational efficiency and safety.

Acting duties of Chief Controller of WRL

• To monitor train service so as to provide a reliable service to passengers and to alleviate unforeseeable surge
• To regulate train service and handle incident and accident, so as to safeguard the safety of staff and passengers, as well as to minimize the delay and impact to train service
• To coordinate with relevant engineering and operating staff effectively and efficiently for prompt recovery and maintenance arrangement in a safe manner

• To arrange work trains during the Works Train period of WRL construction phase

• To look after the operations of four Chinese medical centre in Hong Kong
• To look after the sale of the Chinese medical products

• Responsible for dispatching information via different means to passengers, related internal parties and external parties.
• To communicate with Police and FSD for handling incidents
• To compile daily traffic related reports
• To coordinate with Traffic Controller and Chief Controller during incident and accident

• Participate training for works in MTR
• Act as the Section Controller during Works Train period of LAR construction. Arrange and monitor works in the responsible section area of the railway

• Overseeing the amenity facilities in North District of Hong Kong
• Supervising teams of subordinate for the operations of the amenity facilities
• Organizing functions and activities held at the amenity venues in North District
• Reply complaints and enquiries from public related to the amenity facilities
• Coordinate with other department for the handover of facilities to the department
