During my five weeks of placement as a student physiotherapist in the cardiorespiratory Unit. During my five weeks of placement , my duties included:
- Assess Patient's condition by physical examination and history taking
- Perform treatment accordingly
- Liaise with members in the medical team about patient's discharge planning
- Generate medical notes

- Educate Patients about post cardiac operation rehabilitation

Conditions treated in this unit mainly involved with Cardiorespiratory conditions such as:
- Post Cardiac surgeries (e.g. CABG)
- Post upper abdominal surgery
- Pleural Effusion on drainage
- Pneumothorax

- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

- Atrial fibrillation, tachycardia

My placement duties included:
- Calling low risk covid-19 positive patients and assess their symptoms
- Assess patient's blood oxygen concentration, heart rate and shortness of breath and other general common covid-19 symptoms
- Determine if low risk covid-19 positive patients need more advanced medical attention
- Follow up with long covid patients via phone calls and collect their long covid symptoms at 6 weeks and 12 weeks post discharge from hospital

I was working as a student physiotherapist in the Neurology Unit. During my five weeks of placement , my duties included:

- Perform treatment accordingly
- Treatment performed included the use of modalities such as shock wave and ultrasound, cuppings, manual therapy such as soft tissue work and joint mobilisation
- Prescription of varieties of exercises
