HK Product Control lead for Cash APAC business and responsible for the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle for a business with more than $0.7bn in annual revenues and average assets in excess of $2bn.

• Develop and maintain key relationships with senior managers in Front Office, Business Management and Support functions
• Project work covering controls enhancement, efficiency initiatives and strategic developments in order to provide business advantage
• Project Work to strengthen and improve controls in systems and workflows to remediate key risks
• Automate and/or work with the Development team to reduce/improve manual reporting processes and optimize existing reports
• Act as a SPOC for Cash Equities business to interact with Front Office Traders, COOs, Tax Team, LEC team, Audit, Market Risk, etc.
• Provide senior management (including CFO and Divisional controller) with insightful commentaries on business performance through interface with traders
• Served as a business lead for strategic project automating & consolidating some of the repetitive tasks with the use of Robotics process automations, P&L automation tools or Process excellence initiatives, increasing team capacity by 10% and accelerating month end close by 2 days
• Experience of conflict resolution and working in difficult environment while working in collaboration to ensure proper stakeholder management

• Review and validation of daily P&L, P&L attribution including understanding risk positions and market moves for P&L explanation, along-with providing meaningful daily, weekly and monthly commentaries to senior management, risk and front office
• Performance of month end accounting processes including Manual adjustment journals, ensuring reconciliation between accounting platform and various sub ledgers, substantiation of account balances, etc
• So as to ensure accuracy and completeness in finalization of financial information
• Presenting month end control packs to head of trading desk and senior directors of PC
• Responsible for stake holder management and regularly interacting with front office, financial control, BPA, technical accounting group, risk, change management and IT
• Attending ad hoc queries from the traders, auditors and other infrastructure partners relating to P&L and Balance Sheet
• Challenging status quo in processes, identifying opportunities for improving processes & controls and driving changes along with all stakeholders
• Engage all stakeholders in discussions around issues impacting P&L such as downstream feed issues, issues around P&L attribution and documenting new business requirements.
