Maggie Man Yee LI

I have great enthusiasm in applying for the post . I would like to submit my application for your consideration. Currently, I am the English Panel Chair of a government aided school. I was the Head of Student Support of a DSS in charge of special programs, scholarships, relevant curriculum development and teacher training related to responding to Diversity. I have recently obtained the Master of Education (2014) with double majors in Special Education and Gifted Education. I was Assistant Project Manager of the Hong Kong Institute of Education in charge of a project, which provides professional training to improve pre-service and in- service teachers’ understanding of children’s learning behaviors. Before my work in HKIEd, I have been teaching the English Language in primary school after I have obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Education in the Hong Kong Institute of Education (2003). As you will note from the enclosed resume, I worked as an English teacher in private, DSS and public schools. I had a chance to enhance my teaching techniques through teaching children and teenagers. Using a student-centered progressive approach, my students were exposed to western culture. During through my teaching experiences, I have developed proficient organizational and interpersonal skills, through which I can provide a diverse and holistic learning experience to students of all ages. I have excellent experience tailoring English teaching materials. I possess the ability, skills and determination to make a real and significant difference to the lives of my students. Moreover, I have always enjoyed cooperating with teachers, specialists, and parents and supporting students in diversity, especially students with special educational needs. I am looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact.
