Professional and experienced educator with focus on fostering supportive and inclusive learning environment. Capable of developing tailored lesson plans that engage students and promote academic growth. Skilled in classroom management and building strong relationships with pupils and parents. I am a highly motivated and honest individual who enjoys working with children. I possess excellent interpersonal skills, both with children and adults. I'm keen to learn new skills and adapt to different working environments; given the opportunity, I believe I would make a positive contribution to any student wishing to learn.
Currently working at LUC Kindergarten, working with pre-nursery students in an EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) environment, focusing on hands-on, project-based learning. I incorporate a variety of activities to support development, including using musical instruments and songs to enhance language, rhythm, and coordination skills. I design outdoor classes to connect children with nature, promote sensory exploration, and encourage active learning. My teaching approach fosters independence by empowering students to make choices, solve problems, and take ownership of their learning. I also create engaging continuous provision areas in the classroom to support child-led play, allowing students to explore, experiment, and deepen their understanding through creative and imaginative activities. This experience has honed my abilities in classroom management, collaboration with colleagues, and building strong relationships with children and their families.
I had a class of 24 students aged between 4-5 years old. Working alongside 3 Chinese co-teachers, we maintained a regular schedule for the students to follow, always ensuring their maximum safety first and happiness. As the English teacher, I created all teaching content, crafts and activities for every lesson following the IB curriculum and the current central ideas and lines of inquiry. I created a safe, warm and fun environment for my students to learn and grow within themselves whilst learning English and new skills. Whilst teaching English, I incorporate many different ways of teaching to engage different types of learners and ensure all students participate. Each semester I wrote a report on each student regarding their personal and academic learning, create and conducting assessments after each unit of inquiry and attended parents evening along with my co-teachers.
Plan and conduct English language lessons for students of all ages whilst ensuring the safety and well being of each student. Create teaching materials that engage the students and increase their creativity and learning. Incorporate technology into my lessons using educational websites, creating my own PowerPoint/PowerPoint games and worksheets, use a smart interactive board and the 3 systems we used, Big Jump/CLIL, Midisaurus and EOW Explore Our World. Conduct and prepare weekly one to one lessons with an adult learner.
I backpacked Asia for 6 month and returned to the UK to apply for my Chinese Z working visa.
