• Business Partner of Institutional Equities (IE) division to support all FP&A functions, including budget forecast, financials and business plans;
• Delivery of high quality and accurate daily & monthly performance report and financial analysis by global countries to business unit (IE) and CFO;
• Support CFO on regular and adhoc presentation pack, Board pack and Audit Committee pack in monthly and quarterly aspects with timely analysis on financials by each business divisions of the Group, not limited to IE division;
• Assist CFO on preparing financial comparisons of major competitors and market trends impacts on Group's performance; and
• Participate in projects with IT teams on reporting system migration and enhance budget systems

• Financial accounting of Equity Derivatives & Prime Services (EQD) and Fixed Income (FICC) with using operation system (Calypso) and accounting system (SAP);
• Support day-to-day trading P&L & NAV analysis and reconciliations of EQD & FICC divisions and liaise with Product Controllers, Operations & Business Units;
• Handle monthly financial controls/reconciliations and regulatory reports in accordance with IFRS, including capital requirements of HK SFC regulated entity, P&L and Balance Sheet substantiation and Segmental Balance Sheeet;
• Review accounting treatments on financial products, such as de-recognition, classification of financial instruments and DVA/CVA assessment;
• Present monthly business performance metrics to CFO;
• Assist in projects of new launched financial products and system enhancements; and
• Prepare statutory accounts and tax returns of EQD & FICC business and liaise with external auditors

Achievements:

• Implemented new middle system between Calypso and SAP with comprehensive trade details for better financial analysis and created automation interface rules from Calypso to SAP;
• Prepared accounting manual in complete flow of EQD & FICC divisions;
• Enhanced operation system and system reports with IT with efficient in reconciliation and accounting process; and
• Migration of accounting system from Oracle to SAP within 2 months

Investment accounting

• Prepare schedules and reconciliations of investment portfolios by using accounting and finance system (PAM), including bonds, equities and hedge funds;
• Participate in system enhancement projects for hedge accounting and IFRS9 requirements;
• Supervise offshore team in India to complete requested tasks effectively;

Reporting team

• Prepare financial and regulatory reports of entire insurance business for various stakeholders;
• Consult with Actuarial Department in nature of insurance products and measurement of insurance and reinsurance contracts;
• Prepare ALCO pack and Board paper for stakeholders to monitor financial performance and disclosure;
• Prepare statutory financial reports in accordance with IFRS and HK Insurance Companies Ordinance of entire insurance business;

Achievements:

• Migration of partial work flow process to outsource team and assist them to complete tasks accurately and on time
• Enhance accounting and finance system and perform UAT to meet IFRS9 requirements

• Planned and performed external audit services of HK Listed companies and HK companies in compliance with regulatory ordinances such as SFO and Insurance Companies Ordinances;
• Planned and performed internal control reviews in special areas, including: - Hotel segment and Gaming segment , Securities dealing segment;

Achievements:

• As a field-in-charge to complete a 3-year internal control review engagement of one HK Listed company with limited resources
