I have attained my nurse license after I graduated from The polytechnic university since 2013. I worked as registered nurse in HA hospital for almost 10 years. Currently I am an ICU nurse since I first rotated from orthopedic ward to ICU in 2014. During these years, I have many exposure experience. I rotated to PMH ICU in 2017 so that I have the opportunity to learn how to care neurology case, trama patient need spinal care and extensive wound care, and patient need ECMO support which these types of patient are infrequently encountered in YCH. During Covid pandemic and my pregnancy in 2020, I went to renal unit, infirmary ward, medical rehabilitation wards. After it , I still think I am a critical care nurse inside out. I am a hard-working and knowledgeable nurse and equipped myself well by enrolling post-registered course to cater critical ill patients' need, like critical care transport medicine course,PRCC in critical care nursing , PRCC care in renal nursing, ECMO course and so on. I am also holding valid ACLS and BLS certificate and stuck to updated protocol according to AHA guidelines during patient care. In these year, I was trained to be a competent night and day shift In Charge to delegating nursing assignment, supervising team comprised with nurses and HCAs, tackle ICU daily chaos. I participated in ICU department quality improvement initiatives to achieved higher standard of patient care by engaging in EBP programs and journal club sharing. Other than that, I have opportunity to train new ICU staff in proper techniques and protocol. As an infection control link nurse and hand hygiene auditor, I always remind ICU fellows, doctors and others allied health professional to uphold the infection control measures and standards to fight against ICU acquired infections.
