An experienced and passionate Head of Humanities and teacher of Economics with recent experience in middle-leadership in both a pastoral and academic role. I have taught in many contexts and roles gaining invaluable experience which I wish to continue to develop in line with my career aspirations.
In my current role, I have overseen the development of new curriculums and the introduction of new A level and IB offerings to students, whilst maintaining performance above the global IB average and attracting world-class offers for students.

- Working in collaboration with SLT and other middle-leaders, I have overseen the introduction of two new IB syllabuses, IBDP History and IBDP Geography, as well as introducing CIE A level Business Studies and CIE A level Economics, and successfully taking our first cohort of IGCSE Global Perspectives students through, whilst maintaining the relative success of our IB Business Management, IB TOK, and IB Economics results, which consistently score above global averages and lead to world-class university offers in these subjects.
- I have further developed a bespoke middle-school Global Perspectives curriculum to meet the unique needs of our Chinese bilingual learners, focusing on 21st century skill acquisition, English language enhancement, and metacognitive development.
- I have managed the expansion of the department from 13 staff members to 21, overseeing 12 subjects, and being responsible for the Humanities education of 1450 students. In order to facilitate this I have put in place effective structures of data tracking to allow me to identify trends, outliers, and omissions amongst our cohort and provide support to both teachers and staff when needed.

- As lead teacher for IB Economics I have overseen the growth in popularity of the subject from 12 IBDP students to 82 across IBDP and A level. During this time, we have maintained our record of surpassing IB Global Averages, despite almost all of our students being second-language learners.
- IB Business Management shares this success, seeing significant growth in popularity whilst maintaining excellent results.
- We have seen two cohorts of Global Perspectives students complete the IGCSE with increasing success.
- I have furthered my own development by completing CAT3 IB Economics, CAT2 IB Business Management, and qualifying as an IB Business Management examiner.
